Have you been driving all the way to Grande Prairie to recycle your fluorescent light bulbs? Well the time has come to recycle them locally!!

Remember CFL's and Fluorescent Light Tubes contain harmful levels of mercury. Always recycle your fluorescent bulbs to ensure the mercury is disposed of safely.

Have you been holding on to an old VHS player, stereo or telephone, because you just couldn't bear the thought of throwing it into the landfill? Well the time has come to recycle it!!

 

The recycling depots in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Chetwynd now accept a wider range of electronic devices for recycling.

Recycle your Glass Food Containers

 

Glass food containers are once again recyclable at all recycling depots in the PRRD. All colours of glass bottles and jars are accepted. Please remember to wash and remove lids from your containers.

 

Glass is now also being accepted as part of the curbside recycling collection in Fort St. John and Dawson Creek. Participants should place their glass containers in a reusable box and place it beside their blue bags on collection day. Do not use a cardboard box as the bottom can collapse if it becomes damp.
