ELECTRONICS RECYCLING PROGRAM EXPANDING

Have you been holding on to an old VHS player, stereo or telephone, because you just couldn't bear the thought of throwing it into the landfill? Well the time has come to recycle it!!

 

Starting July 1, 2010, the recycling depots in Fort St. John, Dawson Creek and Chetwynd will be accepting a wider range of electronic devices for recycling.

 

 

The following items are currently accepted for recycling:

 

  • Televisions
  • Computer Monitors
  • Computer Towers
  • Keyboards and Mice
  • Desktop Printers, Scanners and Fax Machines
  • Cell Phones

 

 

***NEW*** items accepted starting July 1, 2010:

 

  • VHS Players
  • DVD Players
  • Stereos
  • Home Theatre Systems
  • Video Cameras
  • CD Players
  • MP3 Players
  • Telephones
  • Answering Machines

 

We will accept any of the above items free-of-charge regardless of the age of the unit. We do not accept items that are severely damaged due to health and transportation concerns.

 

This is an end-of-life program. All of the items collected will be recycled in accordance with Provincial Electronics Recycling Standards.
